2 tsps vanilla extract 1/4 tsp baking soda
1-1/2 cups brown sugar, packed 1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs 1-12 oz pkg chocolate chips
2-1/2 cups flour 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
- Cream margarine with vanilla. Add brown sugar, beating until very fluffy. Add eggs, and beat well.
- Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, mixing until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Turn into greased 9"X13" pan. Bake at 375 degrees about 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
- While warm, cut into squares. Makes 24-32 cookies, depending on the size cut.
