Nanna's Apple Butter

12 lb. Sliced Apples (any variety) 6 lb. Sugar
4 tsp. Cinnamon 1 tsp. Cloves
1 cup Vinegar (yellow)
Wash apples, cook in large heavy pot until done. Strain, add other
ingredients and cook over medium heat until color and thickness desired.
(Optional: lemon juice added to apples as you peel them if prefer lighter color).
