Chocolate Syrup Cake (aka "Creech Classic")

1 box of Butter Recipe Yellow cake mix
Bake as directed in 9x13 glass pan

In last few minutes of cake baking, mix in saucepan:
2 cups sugar
1 stick butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
Bring to boil, remove from heat, and add:
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (prefer Ghiradelli)
Stir or wisk until blended
and immediately pour over hot cake
which has had holes punched into it (toothpick or fork)
Serve warm.
[Note: This is a double icing recipe and can be adjusted
to 1 or 1.5 if you prefer not so much icing.]
